On 17 October 2013 the worldwide famous singer will arrive to Belgium’s second largest city to charm everybody with his new hits on his worldwide concert tour by name The Moonshine Jungle Tour.

Peter Gene Hernandez, or on his artist name Bruno Mars is only 27 years old, but he already have a Grammy Award in the Best man pop singer category and he sold 6 million albums and 40 million EPs in the whole world. His newest album released in December 2012 and it has already sold out half million pieces, and this number is just growing. The singer’s popularity’s secret is his versatile music style. Jon Caramanica wrote in The New York Times about Mars ‘one of the most versatile and accessible singers in pop, with a light, soul-influenced voice that’s an easy fit in a range of styles, a universal donor.’ This makes him one of the most popular singers of our time, because everybody from the youngsters to elderlies trolls his songs, or at least they surely know them.

In this year on the 14th and 15th May Beyoncé will visit Antwerpen as a part of her worldwide tour, the Mrs. Carter World Tour. The concert will be in the famous Sportpaleis, which is the second most visited arena in the whole world. The singers popularity is easy to understand, because in Antwerpen she will not only perform once, but twice (which she will do in many other cities as well). After all, this 31 year old singer has already won 16 Grammy Awards.

Beyoncé was born in Houston, Texas. Her father is Mathew Knowles, he managed his daughter until 2011, and her mother is Tina Beyincé, who is fashion stylist and hairdresser. Her musician career has started with the band, Destiny’s Child, the three girls reached huge success since 1993 in the whole world, for example with the number one tracks, the Say My Name or the Survivor. Beyoncé’s solo career has started in 2003 and already her first album became four times platinum in the USA. In addition to the success as a musician, she is popular model, actress and she formed her own fashion collection, the House of Deéon in 2004.

Swedish House Mafia Antwerpen 2012

On their last tour before a small break Swedish House Mafia will come to Sportpaleis in Antwerpen to perform. The band has been active since it was formed in Stockholm in 2008, and on this tour they will visit places all around the globe. The band has gotten positive and negative attention, and especially their concert in Phoenix Park in Ireland in July 2012 got a lot of attention, not really because of Swedish House Mafia, but because of other incidents taking place.

Swedish House Mafia is a electronic dance trio, and on December 1st they will play their music and you are invited to dance along in Antwerpen. Why not use this chance to see them live for the last time before they take a break?

Pink Antwerpen 2013

We are a Brussels Guide, but whoever knows the music industry and life in Belgium knows the fact that the hottest concerts in the nation are normally organized in Antwerpen. The venue Sportpaleis is listed among the five busiest concert venues in the world at the moment and this time the venue will be visited by Pink. The date is April 30th in 2013, so quite far away still, but you better be prepared and order your ticket if you want to be there, because it will for sure be packed and crowded with fans… and let us not forget – sold out, within shortly.

If this has influenced her as a performer we do not know yet, but it is great to have examples of women who take a break and enjoy the wonders of family life at the same time as she is one of the hottest artists in the world at the moment. Mark Knopfler will as many other artists skip a concert in Brussels while in Belgium, but he will do a concert in Antwerpen instead. So, forget about chocolate and waffles in Brussels, and head to Antwerpen for diamonds and a very cool concert instead.

Mark Knopfler is a legendary guitarist, and by many considering to be one of the leading guitarists in the world. He was born in Glasgow in Scotland in 1949, and has for a long time been the leading figure of Dire Straits. For a while he has now been going solo, and he has done so with a great success.
